Zufan’s Tooth

Two days after Christmas, Zufan took a spill in the kitchen and chipped one of her left incisors. Thankfully our new dentist was able to attend her that Sunday. Rebecca took Zufan back to Dr. Lafleur Monday and she fixed her smile to make it look as good as new.

Oh, Crimble Tree

When I was growing up, the first day after Thanksgiving was the time appointed to get-out and ornament the house with our holiday accoutrements. This included setting-up our enormous plastic, wire, and wood Christmas tree, and embellishing it in the most gaudy way. My Dad wasn’t satisfied until every string of tinsel we’d managed to save from the year before was draped over each colorful bulb hanging on each straining branch, which, in the end, resulted in a horrific display that would make even the pagans we co-opted the tree tradition from convert.
