Second Girard Thanksgiving

Our second Thanksgiving feast, this time photographed before we eat. The standard turkey breast, with cheddar and bacon red mashed potatoes, and, this year, sausage, mushroom, and spinach dressing with pumpkin pie by Rebecca. I decided we’d make it a fabulous movie holiday and screen some of my favorites from my youth. Over four days we watched The Shadow, The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension, Flash Gordon, and TRON. Excellent!
Birthday Cake

We finally got our birthday cake on Sunday evening. Mommy made a vanilla cake with chocolate frosting. Happy fourth birthday, boy!
Racquet Club

After the museum, we met Grandpa Bill and Grandma Caryl at the Tucson Racquet Club for the Raise a Racquet for Kids event to help fund kids’ cancer research. The highlight for us was the tennis lessons courtesy of the University of Arizona Men’s Tennis team.
Debabu’s Fourth Birthday

Debabu’s fourth birthday and our second year visiting the Pima Air and Space Museum. We saw much more this time and the kids still loved it.
Halloween Again

We scrambled Halloween afternoon because Debabu’s Green Lantern costume, which we ordered late, was far too big. Fortunately, Rebecca was able to find a pilot’s outfit at a local holiday store at the last minute. He looked totally cool in it, and his sister looked great in her fairy costume that Mommy hard worked on all week.
