Old Tucson

Since we weren’t able to do as we’d planned before for Zufan’s birthday, we decided to spend a day at Old Tucson Studios. It’d been a long time since either I or Rebecca’d been to the park, so we never appreciated the damage from the 1995 fire that destroyed much of what we’d known when we were kids. The fire, our tour guide aptly explained, ravaged the soul of Old Tucson; only partially rebuilt, the place was a shell of its former self. It was sad, but we enjoyed the day and we got to see our new nephew- and cousin-in-law Aren act and stunt in the day’s first gunfight as a member of Billy the Kid’s gang, here “wounded” on the roof of the apothecary.
