First Girard Thanksgiving

Rebecca always works on Thanksgiving day, so I always make the feast on Friday. This is really the only picture from our first Thanksgiving dinner as a family. Everyone enjoyed it. Unfortunately, I’m just not a shutterbug and so taking pictures is usually something I wish I’d remembered to do after the fact. But here’re the remains of our turkey, and the jalapeno-cornbread stuffing and red mashed potatoes with real cheese and crumbled bacon and cream. Baby.
Debabu’s Third Birthday

Debabu turned 3, so we decided to see how he’d like the Pima Air and Space Museum. He loved it, and we thought it was pretty neat. In the thirty years we’ve lived here, we’d never been until now, and we’re gonna try to make it a yearly event on our boy’s birthday.

First Girard Halloween

We spent our first family Halloween at the Foothills Mall safe-trick-or-treat event. Debabu was Green Lantern John Stewart, and Zufan, obviously, a lady bug. In order to save the kids the calories, we heroically enjoyed their candy with them.
